How Earth Team Benefits Teachers

Science Curriculum Standards that the project fulfills are listed.
- EARTH TEAM LINKS CLASSROOM LEARNING WITH THE COMMUNITY AND
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPERTS
- The Action
Projects are primarily designed by community experts with
contact numbers and links for further information.
- In addition, the Speakers Series in the chat
room will feature local environmental experts. The students
will have an opportunity to interact with the speaker. The teachers
will receive advance notices about who will be speaking and when.
- EARTH TEAM HELPS MEET SERVICE LEARNING REQUIREMENTS
Each Action Project will offer an example of a Service Learning
Project using the listed Action Project.
- EARTH TEAM OFFERS RESOURCES FOR IMPLEMENTING ACTION PROJECTS
- Each project will list community resources for further information.
In addition, the Links section
where you can find additional information on a large variety of
environmental issues will be continually updated and enhanced.
- Earth Team has plans to develop a listing of Bay Area environmental
speakers for classrooms.
- EARTH TEAM CONNECTS YOU TO OTHER TEACHERS DOING SIMILAR
PROJECTS
Earth Team adds your name and email to the Teachers ListServe,
if you choose. The listserve will give you announcements of pertinent
information as well as a way for teachers to communicate with each
other.
- EARTH TEAM ALLOWS YOU TO TRANSLATE THE WEBSITE LANGUAGE
WITH THE CLICK OF A MOUSE
Just go to the bottom of the Home Page and click on the Translation
link. This Will take you to multiple language options. Choose one
and be amazed.
- THE LINKS SECTION WILL OFFER LINKS TO PROJECTS SPECIFICALLY
DESIGNED FOR TEACHERS IN ADDITION TO THE MANY OTHER PERTINENT LINKS
