Educating and engaging the public in restoration work at Oyster Bay has been a large focus of San Lorenzo High Earth Team’s project at this site. Although many people already enjoy using Oyster Bay for it’s walking trails, bike paths, and off-leash dog policy, it is still a relatively unknown recreation area.

Kennedy’s Earth Team spent a day of their spring break touring the Bay Area Air Quality Management District facility in San Francisco.

Students learned about the history of air quality in the Bay, and how much it has improved in the last 80 years. They also learned about ozone and particulate matter, and how they are affected by the seasons, fires, and  fireworks....
