Officer from Japan's Ministry of the Environment Visits EarthTeam

EarthTeam has a long history of collaborating with others, but never across an entire ocean. On August 8th, as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program, Aya Muto from the Ministry of Environment, Japan, came to the EarthTeam office in Berkeley to learn about our environmental education programs and share cross cultural perspectives about the environment.

Ms. Aya Muto left enthusiastic with the afternoon exchange saying, "It was very impressive and helpful because you introduced 3 good environmental education programs with students and some of NGO's important roles among various stakeholders."

EarthTeam staff were honored to have spent an afternoon with Ms. Aya Muto learning more about some of the work she's doing in Japan regarding environmental education and the cultural perceptions of the environment. Ms. Muto headed back to Washington DC to do more research with federal government agencies before heading back to Japan to continue her work there. We wish her the best of luck continuing to do great environmental work in Japan.
