Last year our main focus was targeting litter on our campus, we collected data and found that Apple & Eve juice boxes was the number   one source of litter on our campus. Then We made a petition asking Apple & Eve to change their packaging.

We started the petition by brainstorming ideas to stop or change the littering on our campus. Throughout last year we worked our hardest to make a difference we achieved to get signatures from 6,859 throughout the world. Our school is not the only...

Over twenty students participated in a community service event on November 26th, 2015, planting twenty California native Elderberry trees to create shade on our campus, and pruning countless trees and shrubs while removing invasive species from San Lorenzo High School’s native plant garden.  These efforts both prepare the native plant garden for the annual plant sale/native garden tour to take place in May, as well as maintain San Lorenzo’s sustainable landscaping.  In the process, students learned how to successfully transplant young trees and prune mature ones.

In May of last year, we helped lead two campus beautification days. One focused on a native plant sale and litter activities and the other on planting natives on campus with other students. We found out that all of the plants we planted were sprayed and killed with some type of herbicide which was a total bummer. So, we’re replanting this weekend on campus.

Join us from 9am-2pm as we help beautify the campus....
