#ZeroLitter @HelmsMS Upcycles
Over the past six months, Helms High School Interns have taken trash to task. Focusing on how litter can negatively impact marine life once it enters the watershed, the interns transformed collected litter into pieces of artwork. The artwork was used to raise awareness on campus and in the community. Thanks to everyone who came out Saturday to celebrate the work done by #Earthteam students at #HelmsMiddleSchool. Their art documenting litter on campus will remain on display all summer at the San Pablo Comminity Center which is open to the public Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Now, they’re encouraging the peers to learn more and to consider how their actions impact the health of their watershed and community through waste audits and recycling challenges.
