During Earth Week 2006 and for weeks after, the Bay Area will be watching documentaries about our schools on TV and streaming on the web – produced by teens like you. EarthTeam invites your class or club to be part of this project. Learn new skills with new technology to make an impact on television and on the internet. You will be the directors, producers, editors and actors. Your goal is to inspire students on your campus tocare for the planet by opening their eyes to all of the ways that the environment is affected by the actions of students and faculty at your school.
Here’s your chance to show your school and your community how teens can use what they learn to make a difference.
Sound Expensive or Complicated?
Public access TV is free. EarthTeam will help you network with the right people to encourage your creativity, produce the video, and put it on TV. We’ll work with your school’s video class, local TV station, or school partners for access to equipment and training.
Help Your School Make an Impact in the Community
Your video will be aired to a wide audience. Last year’s videos were shown numerous times throughout the Spring and Summer - on 6 TVstations!!! And webstreaming!!! TV viewers around the Bay will be educated by your school’s example.
Get Your Class or Club Involved Today
Computer or Video classes or clubs, science or Social Science classes or clubs, or a combination of classes and clubs or academies are welcome to participate. Sign up by Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005.
