Prizes & Cerificates

Every student who completes a MKHC Action Project will receive a Certificate of Completion signed by a noted politician. Cash prizes will be awarded to the student, class, club or school that receives the most Kilowatt Hour-Saving Points. Cash prizes also will be awarded for the Best Essay and Best Poster Contest entries.

Deadline for all MKHC Action Projects is March 15, 2003. Prize winners will be announced on April 22, Earth Day 2003.

Best Essay Prize
$500 Prize awarded to the Best Essay by a graduating High School Senior from each of the following Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Solano, and Sonoma.

Best Poster Prize
$500 Grand Prize awarded to the student who wins the Best Poster Contest; $50 Runners-Up Prizes awarded for each of the remaining 8 Counties.

Most Kilowatt Hour-Saving Points Scored
$500 Prize awarded to the student, class, club or school that scores the most Kilowatt Hour-Saving Points in the MKHC.
