Antioch Continues Restoration at the Upper Sand Creek Basin

Our Antioch interns have been hard at work at the Upper Sand Creek Basin this fall. Here’s what we’ve been up to so far:

510 pieces of litter collected

50 square feet of invasive plants removed

42 native plants monitored

12 water quality tests completed

On Friday, December 6th, 2019 from 1-3pm the Upper Sand Creek Basin will be open to the public for any community members interested in checking out the site. Visitors can participate on a guided tour of the basin as well as hear from some of our interns and Flood Control District partners about ongoing restoration projects at the Upper Sand Creek Basin.
