During the month of January, interns spent their time cleaning up the Hayward Shoreline on MLK Day. In collaboration with Alameda County Resource Conservation District and East Bay Regional Parks District, interns took it upon themselves to beautify the shoreline. The interns spent 3 hours combing through plants, debris, and mud for any litter that could harm the environment. Shown below, we have interns closely looking for any litter and recording it for data collection.

Special thanks to Jennifer Trevis and staff from East Bay Regional Park District for guiding us through the Hayward Shoreline.
