Castro Valley Gets Out in Nature

The Castro Valley team reflects on Nature this past March through a Nature Journal Assignment. Some interns are able to participate in a social distant in-person meeting!

Some of the Castro Valley team got to meet in-person for the first time this past month! Staff and interns followed COVID-19 social distancing guidelines throughout the meeting. The team was able to participate in a litter clean up with Earth Team partner, Alameda County Resource Conservation District, and collect trash around the Castro Valley Library. They were also able to practice their research skills by monitoring air quality outdoors and answer some research questions. All of the air quality data that was collected will be used for the team’s ongoing SITA project.
