Castro Valley High curating their own carpooling exhibit!

In conjunction with Richmond High, the second Earth Team at Castro Valley also nestles under “Spare the Air Youth“. This team is tackling the exhibit building all on their own! From creating a prototype through cardboard, to building a full-sized exhibit.

Interns doing research on the dimensions of exhibit

You can expect a human-sized cardboard car that gushes fog when you choose to commute as a single driver. The fog eases as you choose to carpool or take the bus! The Castro Valley team curated this exhibit due to the lack of biking infrastructure available around the city and campus.

Creating a smaller prototype before building the actual product

The exhibit is inspired by the Museum of Tomorrow, a sustainability pop-up museum that inspires and empowers sustainable trends through curatorial experiences. Currently, their exhibits are scheduled to be showcased at the David Brower Center from 3/7 to 5/2. Their collection ranges from reusables, to fast fashion and food choices!
