Earth Team Pinole Wraps up 2019

Earth Team Pinole is off for the Holidays!

Earth Team has wrapped up the Fall semester at Pinole Valley High School. On our last meeting of the year, we enjoyed a sunset hike around Inspiration Point in Tilden Regional Park and reflected on all we accomplished as a team this Fall. From hosting community events to cleaning up litter in the Pinole Creek watershed, our interns have played a role in helping restore the surrounding environment.

Through group activities, our interns have learned how to communicate and collaborate as a team. We are all excited to continue the work we’ve started at Pinole’s Native Plant Garden.

Take a look at everything we’ve done together this semester:

Interns identifying animal skulls and furs with the help of park rangers from East Bay Regional Park District.
Kayaking at the Point Pinole Regional Shoreline.
Litter cleanup during sunset at Pinole Valley High School.
At the Pinole Native Plant Garden after our November community event.
Planting native grasses in Contra Costa County.
